NEVADA COMMERCIAL GENERAL CONTRACTOR (NASCLA)

The NASCLA exam may be used in place of the Nevada B or B-2 trades exams (high rise experience is needed for the Nevada B). The exam for this license is the NASCLA exam.

NEVADA B GENERAL CONTRACTOR

General Contractor (B) This license allows for the construction or remodeling of buildings or structures for the support, shelter and enclosure of persons, animals, chattels or movable property of any kind, requiring in their construction the use of more than two unrelated building trades or crafts, upon which he/she is a prime contractor and where the construction or remodeling of the business is the primary purpose. A general building contractor may not perform plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, air-conditioning or fire protection without the appropriate specialty license. A person who exclusively constructs or repairs mobile homes, manufactured homes or commercial coaches is not a general building contractor.

NEVADA B-2 RESIDENTIAL LIGHT COMMERCIAL

Residential Light Commercial (B-2) The Nevada Residential and Small Commercial license allows for the construction or remodeling of houses and other structures which support, shelter, or enclose persons or animals or other chattels, and which do not extend more than three stories above the ground and one story below the ground.

NEVADA CONTRACTOR MANAGEMENT SURVEY (BUSINESS & LAW)

The Nevada Business Law exam is required for all contractor licenses in Nevada. It is a separate test based on the book Nevada Construction Business and Law Manual. Many other Nevada Licenses require this examination before licensure.
